A motor located in the center of a two-wheeler generates a better distribution of weight, and therefore great stability, essential in off-road, safe on a daily basis. In addition, it is located very low, which lowers the center of gravity.

On the other hand, the belt and chain delivering all the power from the engine to the rear wheel will require punctual maintenance, but nothing more, nothing less, than on any motorcycle.

A removable battery and a fast charger

The battery of the Sur-Ron Light Bee X-approved electric motocross bike is made of Panasonic lithium-ion cells. This battery is removable, it can be recharged at home, or at work, on a classic 220V socket thanks to the charger provided.

Depending on the version chosen, the battery can offer a capacity of 60V/34Ah, 60V/37.5Ah, or 60V/40Ah. With this 10A fast charger, the charging time is only 2 hours 30 minutes for the 34Ah version, 3 hours for the 37.5Ah version and 3 hours 30 minutes for the 40Ah.

Despite its astonishing lightness, its autonomy remains more than adequate for its category. This will allow you to cover a maximum of up to 130 km – with the wind at your back and at 25 km/h. In good conditions, depending on the version chosen, in everyday use and on the road, count between 65 and 75 km of real range.

In addition, the manufacturer Sur Ron has added a regeneration function to its X-approved Sur-Ron Light Bee. Each braking allows the battery to be slightly recharged.
