47 kg incl. battery
Halfway between an electric motocross bike and a mountain bike, with its 47 kg, including the battery, the Sur-Ron Light Bee Off Road X is very light, much more than any combustion motocross bike in its class. Sporty, off-road, cross-country, on your handlebars, you can easily indulge in the forest or on the paths. And, thanks to its electric motor, in silence, without pollution or odour.
An aluminum frame
Both in its construction, assembly, and in the materials used, the Sur-Ron Light Bee Off Road X conveys the immediate impression of a high-end vehicle. The fork and suspension are adjustable, which is uncommon on vehicles in this class. If you could strip this bike completely and put the aluminum frame stripped of all its accessories on a scale, the needle would show a miserable… eight kilos!
A very powerful engine
As with its homologated twin sister, the engine of the Sur-Ron Light Bee Off Road X is electric and central. It requires virtually no maintenance. Silent and non-polluting, it is capable of developing a maximum of 5 kW in peak and 200 Nm of torque. Transmission to the rear wheel is by chain and belt. A little bit of technology: an engine in the middle of an electric motocross bike creates a better weight distribution. So greater stability, which is essential in all terrains. This motor is also installed very low on the frame, thus lowering the center of gravity. This being understood, the chain and transmission belt will require a little regular maintenance. Nothing more, nothing less, than on any motorcycle. The overall maintenance is very limited, especially when compared to that of a combustion equivalent: no piston to change regularly, or spark plug. Or even gasoline to mix with the oil.
